Yanmar Excavation Equipment
Skid Steers, Track Loaders, Excavators, Wheel Loaders and Tracked Carriers
Since its inception in 1912, Yanmar’s core business has been the production of engines. In the 1930s Yanmar switched to the production of diesel engines, and has been dominant in the small diesel engine market ever since. Yanmar also began building diesel-powered tractors in the late 1930s and today remains one of the world’s largest makers of compact diesel tractors. In 1967, Yanmar entered the construction machinery business with the introduction of a Walk-Behind Dozer. There was a growing need in Japan for reliable construction machines that could access restricted, urban construction sites. Following the hugely successful introduction of the Walk-Behind Dozer, Yanmar understood the need for even more versatile compact construction machinery, and introduced the first mini-excavator in 1968.
These mini-excavators also proved extremely popular and, since then, Yanmar has introduced a number of other “firsts” to the mini-excavator market, including: The first Swing-Boom Excavator, The first Rubber-Tracked Excavator, The first Zero Tail Swing Excavator.
In 2012 we will expand our line of construction equipment to include Skid Steer Loaders and Compact Track Loaders. Our four new Skid Steers and two Compact Track Loaders continue the Yanmar tradition of providing powerful, yet fuel-efficient, machinery that helps customers work faster and more productively, regardless of the job.

Ranging in size from 46 hp and a rated operating capacity of 1,650 pounds to 70.7 hp and a rated operating capacity of 2,700 pounds these skids are as rugged as they are productive. With a wide range of attachment options, you’ll also enjoy the versatility to take on jobs that might normally require multiple machines. |
Compact Track Loaders |

Our new Compact Track Loaders deliver the same raw power, fuel efficiency and versatility as our Skid Steer Loaders, but with durable, high-strength rubber tracks for superb traction and less surface damage. They range in size from 68.4 hp and a rated operating capacity of 1,700 pounds to 70.7 hp and a rated operating capacity of 2,100 lbs. With these CTLs, it won’t matter if your jobsite is mud, sand or rough, uneven ground. You’ll be able to quickly and efficiently get in, get done and move on to the next big job. |

Since YANMAR introduced the first compact excavator to the market in 1971, YANMAR has always taken the lead in the industry.
